The Kanji, such complicated characters, become accepted as an authentic national writing in a major country.

Why has it been continuously used for thousands of years? And even now, are people all over the world bewitched by the attraction of Kanji?
Kanji tells a story of its meaning or you will find a story behind it.
Kanji can express various things in one letter.
Kanji can teach you about Buddhist ways of thinking.
You can distinguish the meaning of the character from the combination of several Kanji even if you have never seen it before. It is very sophisticated.
Kanji is also visual, like a picture. These can be recognized quicker by the brain, similar to a photograph, so communication by Kanji is very quick. The individual characters, similar to logos, have their own individual meaning, not like individual letters which don’t have a meaning. Kanji is also able to expand on an image, expressing its sensitive feeling.

Kankji and I

As a calligrapher artist, I have been drawn in by the attraction of Kanji since my childhood.

Just by wiring writing Kanji with an ink brush,

I unconsciously feel a magical power deep within my soul.

Kanji beyonds the rationality

In terms of streamlining, Kanji is not at all an effective writing system, because of its complicated design. Despite the complexity, people have long been using it. That’s because beyond the rationality, everybody feels a charm.
